Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibraheem al-Jaafary, and the head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, discussed the political situation in Iraq and the region.
A statement by Jaafary’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Jaafary received Hakim and the accompanied delegation at his office in Baghdad on last Thursday evening,” noting that “Both sides exchanged congratulations on Ramadan wishing Iraqis to witness stability and prosperity during it.”
“They evaluated the political conditions in Iraq as they stressed the necessity of intensifying the contacts among the political sides to endorse the pending laws by the parliament,” the statement continued.
“They emphasized enabling INA to take its role in the next stage to present the best services for citizens,” the statement concluded.
