Allawi to the Iranian ambassador: We criticize your intervention in Iraq and we reject any aggression against you
BAGHDAD, May 19 (IranMania) - Vice President Iyad Allawi said during his meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Iraq Erj Musjedi that the region does not tolerate another war, calling for joint action between the two countries to restore stability.
"Whatever the differences between us, Iran, with its historical and geographical links with Iraq, remains an important neighbor," Allawi said in a statement. "We are critical of Iran's interference in Iraq and elsewhere in our region and in the Arab countries. We reject any aggression against it, and we refuse to become a launching pad for aggression against any of the others. "
Allawi renewed the call for a regional security conference in the presence of Iran, stressing the importance of "the relations between the countries of the region based on non-interference in internal affairs on the one hand and the exchange of interests and balance on the other." Finished
