ANKARA, June 28 (UPI) - Turkish military sources announced on Wednesday the destruction of targets belonging to the Kurdish People's Protection Forces.
"The forces of protection of the Kurdish people opened fire on units of the Free Syrian Army, backed by Ankara, in the area of Marnaaz south of the town of Azzaz in northern Syria, Turkish troops fired artillery during the night, and destroyed by the targets of Kurdish forces," pointing out that "The United States supports the people's protection units in Syria, despite repeated protests from Turkey, which considers Syrian Kurdish fighters terrorists and therefore fears that their lead to a Kurdish rebellion in Turkey."
