Oil signed a new contract for gas investment

Ministry signed oil contract with General Electric Company to invest in the gas fields of Nasiriyah and Gharraf, indicating that the project will contribute to stop gas flaring in the fields and the provision of dry gas.
The oil minister said Jabbar Ali Allaibi on the sidelines of the signing of the contract, the ministry signed with the General Electric Company , represented by (Beckerhughes) company, for the production of dry gas condensate and liquid gas in the fields of Nasiriyah and Gharraf.
Allaibi explained that the project will contribute to stop gas flaring in the fields of Nasiriyah and Gharraf as well as dry gas provide for use as fuel for power plants and reduce the use of heavy fuel in those stations, helping to enhance the efficiency of electricity production and reduce the environmental damage, in addition to the production of hundreds of thousands of tons of gas liquids annually.
