A fire broke out in a commercial warehouse in central Basra
A spokesman for the General Company of Iraqi Ports, Anmar al-Safi, on Friday, put out a fire broke out in one of the commercial stores in the district of Andalusia, central Basra.
Al-Safi said in a statement received by the Journal News that "port firefighters in the fire brigade and occupational safety were able to put out a fire that broke out in one of the commercial stores in the district of Andalusia in the center of Basra."
He added that "the fire brigade rushed its specialized and modern mechanisms to the scene as soon as the arrival of the appeal and was surrounded by water hoses and fire treatment materials and was able to control in a record time."
"The store was built with flammable material (Sandujal panel) and (kabun), but the port firefighters dealt with the matter at maximum speed," he said.
