[ltr]Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Adnan al-Shahmani, of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee underestimated the roles of the Interior and Defense Ministers in sustaining security.[/ltr]
[ltr]He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Describing the absence of the security ministers as a defect is incorrect where it is not the main reason behind the lack of security but it is a greater issue,” noting that “The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, is the Acting Interior Minister and Sadoun al-Dulaimi, is the Acting Defense Minister where it is not a problem, but the problem is in the lack of training and the delivery of the intelligence information.”[/ltr]
[ltr]“The disturbed regional situation is one of the factors that affect the security in Iraq,” he concluded.[/ltr]
