Plan to open four new airlines at Nasiriyah airport
16/10/2017 12:00 am [rtl] Nasiriyah / Hazem Mohammed Habib Al - Diwaniyah / Abbas Reza Al - Moussawi The Nasiriyah airport administration has announced plans to open four new airlines with Iran, Turkey, Syria and Lebanon, while the local government in Diwaniyah discussed with the Investment Authority to speed up the establishment of the commercial airport. The director of the airport administration Haider Zamili said in a statement to the "morning" that the administration of the airport presented a plan for the Iraqi Airways, including the opening of new airlines from the airport in Nasiriyah towards the cities of Mashhad in Iran and Istanbul in Turkey, Lebanon and Syria, in addition to the transfer of pilgrims from the province to perform Umrah Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He pointed out that the airport administration is waiting for the approval of the Iraqi Airways to open all those lines proposed within the plan or some of them, which will serve the people of the province, indicating that the last opinion in the opening of those lines will be for the company. He added that the flights from Nasiriyah airport to Erbil airport did not stop and Banababiya, indicating that there is a weekly flight every Monday from Nasiriyah to Erbil and vice versa, with other flights from the airport towards the Iranian capital Tehran, two flights with two flights to Baghdad airport.
