WASHINGTON (Reuters) - US President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel could become a "legitimate reason" for attacking US forces in Iraq, a group said on Thursday.
"Trump's stupid decision will be a great spark to remove this entity (Israel) from the body of the Islamic nation and a legitimate reason to target US forces," said movement leader Akram al-Kaabi in a statement.
In a letter from the White House on Wednesday, US President Donald Trump acknowledged Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and ordered the State Department to prepare for the transfer of the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and to start hiring architects.
