US President Donald Trump said his decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel came as a result of promises he made during his election campaign, and that he did not say anything new.
Trump wrote on his Twitter page, "Uday and I did nothing more during my campaign."
Trump cited this justification by recording a video showing his predecessors, US President Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama, pledging and making promises in their elections, which they failed to implement after they came to power.
It should be noted that Tramb announced last Wednesday his country's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Israel, and signed the decision to transfer the Embassy of Washington from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, which sparked a wave of Arab and international outrage.
