    Prime Minister Haider Abadi met with French President Emmanuel Macaron on a visit to Paris to attend the climate conference.
    The prime minister flew to France on Monday, heading a government delegation. On the sidelines of the summit, Abadi will hold a number of meetings with officials of the participating countries, according to a statement obtained by Al-Mada.
    Iraq is likely to present its vision in this area and the document it presented so as not to affect its economically and environmentally important sectors, which have a direct impact on the lives of citizens and the food and water security of Iraq and the sectors of water, agriculture, health, energy and other sectors. 
    During a speech at the Elysee Palace before the presidents and delegations of countries participating in the climate conference, French President Emmanuel Macaron expressed admiration for "the great victories achieved by Iraq on terrorism," stressing "the importance of standing with Iraq and strengthening it to continue the post-urging." 
    Macaron invited the heads of delegations present at the Elysee Palace to welcome "Abbadi as a global leader," according to a statement by the Prime Minister's Office. 
    Ebadi also met with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres. The two sides discussed cooperation in prosecuting and supporting terrorists, as well as fighting their "deviant ideas."
    Guterres congratulated Iraq on "the great victory achieved by the Iraqis on the duel," stressing that "the United Nations stand with Iraq in the reconstruction and stability efforts," noting that he looked forward to Iraq as a "successful example to be followed among the nations." 
    Later, the Prime Minister met with World Bank Director Jim Young Kim, and reiterated the continued support of the World Bank for the Iraqi economy and the reform process led by the Iraqi government and the great success achieved in this area. " 
    Abadi also met at his residence in Paris, Japanese Foreign Minister During the meeting, they discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries in different fields, political, security, economic and post-emergency situations in addition to the situation in the region.
    "The importance of strengthening relations with Japan and opening new horizons for joint work between the two countries in various sectors and thanking all the countries that helped Iraq in its war against terrorism," Abadi said, adding that "Iraq has emerged victorious in the unity of its people." 
    The Japanese Foreign Minister congratulated the Iraqi people on "the victories achieved on Daash," stressing Japan's support for "Iraq's unity, the restoration of liberated areas, cooperation in all fields and his country's readiness to participate actively in the Kuwait reconstruction conference in Iraq."
