    BAGHDAD / A joint security force arrested a staff member of the Disability and Special Needs Authority on Thursday, stealing up to 700 million dinars from the body's fund.
    A spokesman for the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs Ammar Menem said in a statement received by "Eye of Iraq News" that "the Authority for the care of people with disabilities revealed the loss of an amount of the Fund of the Commission up to 700 million dinars, the trust fund employee (BAH) on Tuesday" Adding that "after the investigation of the employee found out that he is not in work two days ago and that he embezzled the amount and disappeared from view."
    He added that "the Minister of Labor Mohammed Shi'a Sudanese directly pursued the issue and directed the formation of an operating room of the Office of the Inspector-General and the Office of the President of the Commission and the intelligence officer of the Ministry to take immediate action to follow up the embezzled employee."
    Manem explained that "the measures taken by the ministry in coordination with the National Security Service represented the employee's name at all land and air ports to prevent him from traveling, directing the legal representative in the Authority to institute a lawsuit against him and ordering the National Security Service to track the employee and his whereabouts."
    "After the location of the employee, a procedural security operation was carried out that resulted in the arrest of the embezzled employee in his house in the Shaab district of Baghdad on Wednesday night and seized 50 million dinars and contracts for the purchase of real estate with land deeds worth 400 million dinars registered in the name of his wife," he said.
    "The matter is now under investigation by the Integrity Commission, as well as the Office of the Inspector-General, who conducted an administrative investigation to identify the missing employees and the value of the stolen amounts," the ministry spokesman said.
    He added that "the rapid measures that did not adopt the traditional methods were the reason for the arrest of the accused before his escape," noting that "the ministry confirms its commitment to hold accountable anyone who begs himself to prejudice public money or breach of duties and integrity of the job," praising "the National Security Authority and the Integrity Commission for their great cooperation in pursuing the case and resolved within 48 hours , ".anthy 1
