    New York State Governor Andrew Kiyumo has declared a state of emergency in the state because of frost, a severe cold, amid a stormy storm sweeping American territory.
    "A state of emergency has been declared in New York and (its provinces) Westchester and Long Island, because of the harsh weather conditions," Kyumu wrote on his Twitter page.
    Mayor of New York City Bill de Plazio announced the closure of all schools in the city due to the snowstorm that struck the area.
    The snow hit northern Florida on Wednesday, a phenomenon not seen by residents of the state for three decades, carried by a blizzard that hits the entire eastern coast of the United States.
    The US Meteorological Agency warned that the major winter storm would carry snow and ice from Florida in the southeast to New England in the northeast on Wednesday and Thursday.
    According to the agency, "Agence France Presse," appealed to the governor of the state, Rick Scott residents of the north of the state to "prepare for extreme cold conditions may include snow or cold or ice."
    Florida's Tallahassee, in the far north of the "sunny state," woke up on Wednesday on a light snow layer, the first since 1989, according to weather channel Weather Channel.
