    Information / Baghdad ..
The Afghan Interior Ministry announced on Sunday that the restoration of control of a luxury hotel in Kabul had been broken into by gunmen and killed several people.
Four militants attacked the Intercontinental Hotel in the Afghan capital, killing five people, including one foreigner, and wounding six others, Interior Ministry officials said.
Three of the attackers were killed in the security operation, Interior Ministry spokesman Najib Danish said, and about 150 inmates were rescued at the luxury hotel.
The attackers stormed the hotel on Saturday night, firing on workers, guards and hotel guests and detonating grenades.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack but the Taliban launched an attack on Intercontinental in 2011.
InterContinental is one of two luxury hotels in central Kabul, sometimes used by the government for conferences and official meetings. Ending / 25
