Deputy Foreign Minister Khalid al-Jarallah expressed his country's disapproval and rejection of the abuse of a senior Saudi official to one of the Kuwaiti ministers who visited Qatar and met with Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad.
Al-Jarallah conveyed a formal protest to the Saudi ambassador to Kuwait, Abdulaziz al-Fayez, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
The chairman of the General Authority for Sport, the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee and the adviser to the Royal Court of Saudi Arabia, Turki Al-Sheikh, said in a tweet on Monday, "The Roudhan; in short: mercenary under the umbrella of positions and against the established facts."
"This mercenary will not harm Saudi Arabia's historical relations with its sister Kuwait," he said. "What he said is nothing but himself," said a bitter poet.
The Minister of Trade and Industry Khalid Al-Roudhan visited Doha, where he expressed his country's thanks to the role played by the FIFA in lifting the suspension of football activity in Kuwait.
