The US military has begun to reduce the number of its troops in Iraq after the end of the stage of the organization "calling" the criminal, according to an agreement between Baghdad and Washington.
"US troops and equipment are being transferred from Iraq to Afghanistan and dozens of American soldiers have left on daily flights since last week," the agency quoted Western commentators as saying.
"Two Iraqi officials who declined to be identified said the US-led coalition had reached an agreement to reduce its forces in Iraq for the first time since the war began on a pre-emptive organization three years ago," it said.
The agency said that "its correspondent saw the base, which is believed to be the base of Assad in the province of Anbar west of the country movements of troops in line with the statements of officials, while Iraqi officials and contractors refused to disclose the exact numbers of troops withdrawn."
This comes at a time when US Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan said on Saturday that his country's troops will remain in Iraq despite the defeat of the organization "calling" criminal, saying it "will not repeat the mistakes of the past," referring to its withdrawal in 2011. End / 25 z
