    (Baghdad: Al Furat News) Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi received, yesterday evening, Thursday, a phone call from US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, on the latest developments and the desire of various parties to prevent escalation and go to open war.
    A statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office issued today, Friday, that the Al Furat News Agency received a copy of it, saying that Abdul Mahdi confirmed during the phone call, “Iraq rejected and rejects all operations that violate its sovereignty, including the recent operation that targeted Ain Al-Assad and Erbil, and that Iraq is making unremitting efforts and is contacting all parties to prevent its transformation into a battlefield. " 
    Abdul-Mahdi also requested, according to the statement," the US Secretary of State to send delegates to Iraq to put in place mechanisms for implementing the House’s decision to withdraw troops safely from Iraq, and that Iraq is keen to keep the best relations with its neighbors.
