    The Federal Supreme Court on Monday appealed to paragraphs of the Supreme Judicial Council Law No. (45) of 2017.
    "The Supreme Federal Court has considered a case to challenge the Supreme Judicial Council Law No. (45) for the year 2017," the court spokesman Ayas al-Samuk said in a statement received by Al-Mada that "the plaintiffs filed an appeal against the unconstitutionality of Articles 2 / (3, III, 4) and Article (3 / III-X-11 of the Supreme Judicial Council Law No. 45 of 2017, and from reviewing the articles mentioned in their paragraphs and clauses and reviewing the exchanged regulations, the Court ruled that the appeal against the unconstitutionality of items (3 and 4) Of the first paragraph of Article (2) of the Law of the Supreme Judicial Council (that it) is not supported by the Constitution, and the other section Appeals came from a legislative option for the House of Representatives in accordance with the validity stipulated in Article (61 / I) of the Constitution, and the final section of the appeals, you will find the Federal Supreme Court does not conflict with the constitutional provisions, so the court decided to dismiss the claim. "
    On May 31, 2017, the Supreme Federal Court held its session under the chairmanship of Midhat Al-Mahmoud and the presence of its members, and was challenged by the Supreme Judicial Council Law No. (45) of 2017. 
    In the meantime, Al-Samok said in another statement that "the Federal Supreme Court considered the appeal On the decision of the provincial council of Kirkuk on raising the flag of the Kurdistan region on the buildings of the province. 
    He added that "the court found that that decision is subject to appeal to the law of the provinces that are not organized in the territory, and out of the jurisdiction of the Federal Supreme Court, and be the jurisdiction of other bodies identified by that law." 
    Al-Samok pointed out that "the Law of Governorates not organized in the province has defined one jurisdiction of the Federal Supreme Court in paragraph (11/3) of Article (31) thereof," in the case of the insistence of the provincial council on a decision, The objection must be referred to the Federal Supreme Court for decision.
