The World Bank has identified what the affected sectors in Iraq need for reconstruction.
"The housing sector in Iraq needs $ 17.4 billion," the bank's representative Raja Arshad Rihan was quoted as saying by the Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper. "The education sector needs 4.5 billion and the health sector is 4.3 billion."
"The reconstruction of the trade sector needs $ 10.6 billion, and the energy, oil and gas sector to $ 16.3 billion," he said.
Iraq needs 23 billion dollars in the short term and 65 billion dollars in the medium term, he said, adding that the damage to the energy and oil sectors was the highest.
