The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, Nasser Al-Sharida, Saturday, that Iraq is a strategic partner in all areas, pointing out that the reopening of the land border between the two countries gives a strong impetus to increase the volume of trade exchange.
"The reopening of the land border between the two countries gives a strong impetus to increase the volume of trade exchange and stimulate the private sector to establish joint investment projects and take advantage of the available opportunities," Al-Sharqah said, .
He pointed out that "the volume of handling between the two countries in the eighties exceeded 25 million tons of goods and services," and expected that "this number to fold with high readiness by the Jordanian ports and the transport sector and will thus revive the various economic sectors."
He stressed that "the return of transit movement constitutes a strong and new impetus to the national economy, and that Iraq and Jordan are twins and have interests and relations." Ending / 25
