    [ltr]The Libyan Coast Guard has announced that in two separate operations it has rescued 119 illegal immigrants west of Tripoli, including 4 Egyptians.[/ltr]
    [ltr]A Libyan Coast Guard patrol rescued 98 illegal immigrants aboard a rubber boat that crashed into a turbulent sea, Libyan navy spokesman Brigadier General Ayoub Qasim said.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"The operation was carried out in an atmosphere that almost caused the sinking of the boat of immigrants, which was 21 nautical miles north of the town of Abokmash near the city of Zuwara," he said, adding that they were of different African nationalities.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The Coast Guard carried out a second operation, which resulted in the rescue of 21 migrants off the coast of Sabratha, about 75 km west of the capital.[/ltr]
    [ltr]A spokesman for the Libyan navy that the migrants are 17 Bengalia and 4 Egyptians, adding that the operation took place 21 nautical miles north of Sabratha.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Kassem said that all the migrants who were rescued in the two operations were transferred to the Tripoli naval base and then handed over to the illegal immigration control agency in Tajura on the outskirts of the capital.[/ltr]
