    [ltr]German Foreign Minister Haikou Mas on Friday expressed reservations about the participation of his country's army in the mission of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in Iraq.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"We have to talk about that," Mas told a meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"The German army is already involved in missions in Iraq," Mas said.[/ltr]
    [ltr]In March, the German parliament approved a new mandate for the German army to transfer the weight of the troops there to central Iraq.[/ltr]
    [ltr]NATO's planned mission in Iraq will be discussed at the Foreign Ministers' meeting today.[/ltr]
    [ltr]According to statements by the Secretary-General of NATO, the current plans to send hundreds of soldiers to Iraq. The new mission is expected to be decided during the NATO summit in July[/ltr]
