[ltr]Qatar's Ministry of Communications and Communications announced the launch of the direct shipping line between Doha and Basra officially.[/ltr]
[ltr]"The ship" Achirij "belonging to the fleet of Qatar Navigation Company docked today in the port of Umm Qasr commercial (southern Iraq), on a two-day trip.[/ltr]
[ltr]According to the statement, one vessel will work on this service in the first phase with a capacity of a thousand and 15 containers and 110 containers refrigerated, and the sailing period will be only two days.[/ltr]
[ltr]"The new line will be suitable for transporting dry and chilled food, electronics, building materials and other goods," he said.[/ltr]
[ltr]"The route will be from Hamad port, to Umm Qasr port in Iraq, then to Shuwaikh port in Kuwait, then back to Hamad port," he added.[/ltr]
[ltr]Since June 5, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt have severed relations with Qatar and imposed punitive measures on the grounds of "supporting terrorism", which Doha strongly denied.[/ltr]
