    Information / Baghdad..
Scientists at Tyumen State University in Russia have developed a new method that helps improve plastic waste recycling processes.
The university said in a statement that "scientists at our university have discovered a new method that makes the process of recycling plastic waste easier and safer for the environment. The method uses catalysts extracted from clay."
He added, "There are problems with the disposal of plastic waste all over the world, and there are huge amounts of plastic sent to landfills every year, a small part of which is subject to recycling processes and the rest is burned, which causes the release of large amounts of harmful materials into the environment."
The statement explained that "chemically analyzing and recycling plastic is important for preserving the environment. Plastic waste can be converted into materials that can later be used as additional sources of fuel or as raw materials for the chemical industry or the production of polymers. Today, plastic is chemically analyzed at high temperatures, and relatively expensive catalysts are used in these processes. We have been able to develop cheap catalysts that are extracted from components found in nature, such as clay." End / 25m
