    [ltr]A woman was killed and two others were wounded by gunfire in a parking lot near an educational institution in Georgia, hours after 10 people were killed in a similar incident in Texas, Clayton County police said.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The incident occurred during a graduation ceremony at Mount Zion High School.[/ltr]
    [ltr]According to the police spokesman, the victims of the accident were not members of the school's faculty or students, and that the shooting took place after a dispute whose causes were not yet known.[/ltr]
    [ltr]This is the second shooting incident in one day. The shooting in a school in Santa, Texas earlier killed 10 people and injured 10 others.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Police said the attacker was 17-year-old Demetrius Pagortzis, who was about to commit suicide. He was detained in Galveston County Prison without being released on bail and charged with premeditated murder.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Governor Greg Abbott said the young man had used a weapon and a 38-caliber pistol taken from his father. Weapons were obtained legally. In addition, explosives and Molotov cocktails were found in the attacker's car.[/ltr]

    A person was killed and another wounded in a shooting incident in a high school in Georgia, US media reports said.
     
    The reports pointed out that the shooting took place in a school in Jonesboro, after an argument erupted in the parking lot at the school after the graduation ceremony of students. 

    Security forces cordoned off the scene, and the authorities investigated the incident. 

    Earlier, 10 people were killed in a shootout at a high school in Santa Fe, Texas, in the latest operation of its kind since the Florida school massacre that killed 17 people last February. .
