The head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) parliamentary bloc, Arieh Abdullah, announced on Wednesday the arrival of a delegation of the Union to Baghdad to discuss the formation of the next government with other political alliances, adding that the delegation will meet with a number of political leaders led by the leader of the Sadrist movement Moqtada al- Ammar al-Hakim.
Abdullah said in a statement to the information that "the negotiating delegation of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan arrived this morning to Baghdad to discuss the formation of the next government and find understandings to join a political alliance."
He added that "the delegation will begin consultations with the meeting of President Fuad Masum and then the leader of the Sadrist movement, Moqtada al-Sadr and the head of the stream of wisdom, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, Prime Minister Haider Abadi and various other political entities."
"The aim of sending the delegation is to bring the views of the Union together with the various political forces, as well as to feel the pulse," Abdullah said. "The delegation will return to Sulaymaniyah to take the final decision in consultation with the leadership of the National Union." Ending / 25 d
