The US Defense Department warned Syrian government forces against launching any attack on US military or US allies in Syria.
In response to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's talk about the possibility of using force against the "Syrian Democratic Forces", US Joint Chiefs of Staff Staff Director Kenneth Mackenzie said: "Any attack on US forces or their allies in Syria would be Bad policy for all parties concerned ".
McKinsey added that military operations, carried out by the United States in cooperation with the "Syrian Democratic Forces", are still ongoing.
The Pentagon's comment comes in response to a statement made by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad during an interview with RT television on Thursday, in which he said that the Syrian government would regain land in Syria's north and east controlled by the "Syrian Democratic Forces" Or by force, while hinting at the possibility of resorting to the expulsion of US forces from those territories.
Assad said that Syria's "democratic forces" are now the main card of the United States on Syrian soil. "We are moving in different regions to defeat terrorists, and
the only remaining problem in Syria is Syria's democratic forces. Before the negotiations, because the majority of these forces are Syrians, presumably they love their country, and do not want to be puppets of foreigners, that is what we assume, and therefore we have the same basis.
We have not trusted Americans for decades, not because of war, but because they always say something and do the opposite. They lie daily. So, we have the only option of living with each other as Syrians and forever. And the second option will resort to the liberation of those areas by force, and we have no other options, the presence of Americans or not.
"The Syrian president:" The Americans have to leave, and will leave in some way. They came to Iraq without a legal basis, and see what happened to them. They have to learn the lesson. Iraq is no exception, and Syria is no exception. "
