    A source familiar with the Islamic Dawa Party said on Thursday that the efforts of some leaders in the party failed to hold a reconciliation meeting between the leaders of the alliance of victory Haider Abadi and the rule of law Nuri al-Maliki.
    The source said in an interview with «Journal News», that "the leadership of the party failed in its endeavors on a reconciling meeting between the leaders of the alliance of victory Haider Abadi and the rule of law Nuri al-Maliki, but it continues to set a date soon."
    The source, who asked not to be named, said that "the leaders seek to declare reconciliation between the parties as soon as possible and the announcement of an alliance of more than 72 deputies to counter the growing political alliances for fear of the loss of the post of prime minister of them," noting that "continued differences will force the Shura Council to call on Hold a meeting to determine its success ".
    It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi and Vice President Nuri al-Maliki both belong to the Islamic Dawa Party, but for the first time since 2003, entered into two separate lists during the last parliamentary elections held on 12 May 2018, which observers considered as a clear disagreement between leaderships Party.
