The deputy of the coalition of state law Mansour al-Baiji on Monday the United States that it is exerting pressure on some political blocs in order to form a government, "quotas like its predecessors that are useless," as he put it.
There were disagreements in the Iraqi political circles over the candidates for the formation of the next government, amid the visit of US special envoy to Iraq, Brett McCorgh in conjunction with the visit of the commander of the "Quds Force" Iranian Qassem Soleimani, and expectations that the goal of the visits to the file of forming the government.
"The Americans are seeking to form a future government that works according to their agendas and meets their interests in the region, not indifferent to the suffering of the Iraqi people," al-Buaihi said in an interview.
He added that "the Americans are exerting pressure to choose a prime minister and form a bloc within the House of Representatives through pressure on some of the clinging to chairs and do not think about what the country is going through crises."
He said that his coalition "rejects any foreign intervention to form the next government on the grounds that the formation of the government must be an Iraqi decision without the intervention of any external party and if the response of these blocks to the pressure of the US, the next government will be equal to the previous quotas for each party and this is what the Americans are seeking to achieve their interests "He said.
Since 2005, the presidency of the Iraqi parliament has been the share of the Sunni component, while the prime minister of the Shiite component and the presidency of the republic go according to consensus among political leaders, which is rejected by several political forces and demanding the end of sectarian quotas in the political process in the country.
This comes at a time formed blocks "Suron" supported by the leader of the Sadrist movement Moqtada al-Sadr, the coalition of "victory" led by Prime Minister Haider Abadi, and "wisdom" led by Ammar al-Hakim, and "national" led by Vice President Iyad Allawi on Sunday, Which they call the nucleus of the largest bloc in the Iraqi parliament.
Sadr and Abadi represent the first axis of the Shiite blocs winning in the elections that took place in May, while the second axis consists of the alliance, "the conquest," which includes factions of the popular political crowd led by Secretary General of the Badr Organization Hadi Amiri, and a coalition of state law led by Vice President Nuri al-Maliki.
The bipartisan dispute continues over the formation of a major bloc nominating as prime minister of the new government. Which needs 165 seats, out of a total of 329 seats in the new Iraqi parliament.
