Canadian Foreign Minister Christia Freeland said a new trade treaty between Canada, Mexico and the United States was "within our grasp" after the decision to postpone negotiations between Ottawa and Washington for a few days.
"We are making progress," Freeland said. "We have not reached the goal yet." She reiterated the importance of reaching a revised version of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) that would be good for Canadians. Negotiations between Canada and the United States resume Wednesday in Washington.
