    The Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi on Tuesday stressed the importance of the success of the energy sector in Iraq.
    "He is also looking forward to bringing the ministries concerned success in favor of the Iraqi people, especially electricity as a national and strategic issue and the criterion of success."
    "The energy file must be at the level of the challenge," he said during a meeting of the energy meeting on Sunday. "The energy issue must be at the level of the challenge. It is directed at cooperation between ministries and the maximum efforts and potentials to provide electricity to all governorates, especially the deprived areas.  
    According to a government statement, "the Prime Minister and the ministers of oil, electricity and water resources, the reality of work and production and ongoing preparations and methods of treatment and solutions proposed and administrative and financial issues and secure revenue and gas supplies, and the need to shorten the time and accelerate the efforts to complete power plants and production of electricity,
    The statement added that "specific follow-up schedules have been put in place to carry out the necessary maintenance work, to return many idle stations to production and to solve outstanding problems between the ministries in order to provide electricity requirements and reduce cutting hours."
