Reuters) - Foreign currency sales fell Monday to $ 141.61 million, compared to sales of $ 153.32 million on Sunday, down $ 11.71 million, the central bank said.
According to data from the Central Iraqi, the exchange rate was 1190 dinars per dollar, in the auction held with the participation of 30 banks.
The Central Bank said in a statement today that the sales executed today are the results of Tuesday, adding that the total sales totaled $ 163.8 million.
The bank said that the volume of funds sold to strengthen the bank balances abroad amounted to $ 140.71 million, while the total cash sold was estimated at $ 900 thousand.
The amounts transferred to the accounts of banks abroad were sold at a price of 1190 dinars per dollar, and the cash sale would be at the same price.
