Agriculture pledges to pay farmers' benefits a week after receiving their crops

The Ministry of Agriculture pledged Tuesday to pay farmers a week after receiving their crops, while a plan was prepared to receive all quantities marketed locally from wheat and barley crops for the current season.
"The ministry has discussed the marketing plan, facilitating the procedures and reducing the routine to receive all the quantities marketed locally from the wheat crop," said the ministry's deputy minister, Mehdi Sahar al-Jubouri. Of the Ministry of Commerce, or barley will be received by the Ministry of Agriculture and the same prices last year.
He pointed out that "the preparations included the preparation of warehouses and silos Ministry and the preparation of large yards for the receipt of the crop during the marketing period," and expected "a significant increase in the local production of crops this year compared to previous years after the introduction of areas liberated within the agricultural plan for the current winter season and frequent rainfall during the country during Past and present period ".
Jubouri said that the ministry "suggested to the concerned authorities to establish mechanisms to prevent the entry of shipments imported from abroad for the wheat crop during the marketing season except for imported for the purposes of the ration card, and the formation of receiving committees from all the competent authorities in the province to organize the receipt.
"The ministry has also decided to hand over all payments to the peasants from the financial amounts only one week after the date of handing over the crops to the silos and stores of the Ministry of Commerce," he said.
