Former Prime Minister and leader of the victory coalition Haider al-Abadi warned on Saturday of frequent security violations, especially in the cities controlled by the former Al-Qaeda organization.
"The repeated security violations are the result of internal weakness and corruption," Abbadi said during a speech at a tribal gathering in Najaf province, stressing "the importance of not falling back and protecting the achievements made."
"It is not right that countries consider their interests and Iraq does not look at its interests," he said, noting that "resources, economy, agriculture, industry and other sectors should be taken care of."
He praised the "role of the tribes and their cohesion with the security forces against the preacher," noting that "this victory was not free but with great sacrifices and can not be neglected."
