"The Prime Minister and the Integrity Commission have opened an investigation into the Ministry of Electricity awarding a contract to rehabilitate the El Dorah thermal station for the elite company run by two persons, one Jordanian and the other Iraqi, without a tender announcement," Nassif said in a statement.
"The Ministry of Electricity has agreed to transfer the contract of rehabilitation and operation of the Doura thermal station to the elite company without a tender announcement. The company is managed by two people, one Iraqi and the other Jordanian. The deal was executed by both WAH and Abu Ammar, She said.
Nassif said that "the information received indicates that the rehabilitation of this station does not require a lot of expenses and costs, and the ministry can take over this through its cadres without the need to transmit to a company."
Nasif stressed the need to intervene the Prime Minister and the Integrity Commission and the concerned authorities and to open an investigation in this case and verify the authenticity of information through their tools.
