    The General Company for Rubber Industries and Tires, a subsidiary of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, announced on Tuesday that it is nearing completion of the project of recycling spent tires which it is implementing in its Diwaniya tires factory in partnership with the private sector.
    The company said in a statement received by "Economy News" a copy, that "the ministry to achieve advanced stages in the installation of machinery and equipment project by the efforts of engineering and technical cadres in the tire factory Diwaniyah."
    He added that "the project will work to recycle tires through the use of spent tires as a raw material and chopped and converted to minced rubber and produce different products including minced rubber of different sizes and grinder with a capacity of five tons per hour and oils of various types and high quality in addition to the production of rubber tiles used in sports stadiums and Riyadh The children and the muqarnas rubber shock absorbers and the production of rubber bumps of high quality and long life and different sizes.
    He explained that this project is one of the leading and unique projects in the country and environmental projects that will contribute to the disposal of tires consumed permanently and without waste, especially as these tires constitute a burden on the environment, where the number of tires entering Iraq to ten million tires a year and accumulated on Over many years.
    The statement pointed out that "this project will have an economic return and feasibility through the manufacture of various rubber materials can be sold in the local market and the global market and the operation of additional labor in the factory and the company."
