    Chairman of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee Hisham al-Suhail, on Tuesday, called on the presidency of the Council of Representatives to amend the rules of procedure of the Council, noting that many parliamentary committees are disabled because of the rules of procedure because of the status of an absolute majority to elect the chairman of the committee.
    Suhail said in a statement to the information, that the presidency of the committees of integrity, security, defense and education have forms and objections because of the failure of their superiors to obtain an absolute majority.
    He added that "article (74) of the rules of procedure of the House of Representatives speaks of the candidate for the chairmanship of the Committee to receive one half plus one of the number of members of the Committee and this has not been achieved within a number of parliamentary committees."
    Suhail stressed "the need to amend the rules of procedure during the next legislative term so that committees and members of the House of Representatives exercise their oversight role." Finished / 25 h
