Siemens: We will sign an agreement to rebuild the Baiji plant
Economy News - Baghdad:
Siemens chairman Joe Keizer said his company will sign an agreement today with the Ministry of Electricity to rehabilitate the Baiji power plant and supply the power system with 1.6 megawatts.
"Siemens has signed an agreement with Iraq to help it end the energy crisis," he said in his speech at the Iraq Energy Forum Conference 2019, which was attended by Al-Iqtisadiah.
He stressed that "Siemens current goal is to provide Iraq with 14.4 thousand megawatts during the next two years," adding that "the private sector in Iraq will be active after ending the electricity crisis because 80% of small and medium-sized companies will benefit from energy."
