WASHINGTON (AFP) - The House of Representatives said on Wednesday the House of Representatives would vote on a resolution obliging the Iraqi government, headed by Adel Abdul-Mahdi, to protect Iraq's sovereignty.
"The next few days will see the Iraqi parliament vote on a parliamentary resolution that obliges the government to remove all foreign forces from Iraqi territory in order to preserve Iraq's sovereignty, security and stability," said coalition MP Ghaib al-Amiri.
Al-Omairi said that "Parliament may not enact a law for this, it may only issue a parliamentary resolution is binding, and this will be agreed upon between the leaders of political blocs, during the next two days."
