BAGHDAD: The Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Adel Abdul Mahdi late on Wednesday, a meeting of security leaders in the presence of the Ministers of Defense and Interior.
A statement from his office, received (Euphrates News) a copy of it, that "the meeting was attended by the President and members of the Security and Defense Committee in the House of Representatives, to see developments in the security situation and to respond to the demands of peaceful demonstrators."
He added that `` the participants confirmed their support for the government's efforts and their response to legitimate demands and their support for efforts to impose security and order and the protection of private and public property, facilities and vital sites and the need to achieve security and stability for all citizens and secure their interests and their work and permanence in the ministries and institutions of the state, universities and schools. ''
