{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The Parliamentary Finance Committee confirmed, today, Thursday, that it has not seen the draft budget law for fiscal year 2020, because it was not sent by the government.
"Our committee has not yet seen the budget for the year 2020, because the government has not sent it," committee chairman Ahmed al-Saffar said in a press statement.
The MP, Hanin al-Qaddo, had said in a previous statement that the value of the 2020 budget is estimated at 160 trillion dinars and a deficit of 50 trillion, indicating that the total value of revenue is estimated at 84 trillion dinars.
The Parliamentary Finance Committee acknowledged that Iraq will enter in 2020 a "temporary budget", due to the delay in sending it by the current caretaker government because of a procedural legal problem "stating that" this situation is similar to what happened in the past year before the formation of the government of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi.
