, political sources familiar with the negotiations to form a government revealed, on Wednesday, a political movement to persuade the Prime Minister-designate Adnan Al-Zarfi to waive his assignment in exchange for a high position in the new government.
The sources told Mawazine News that "the political blocs proposed to persuade the Prime Minister-designate, Adnan Al-Zarfi, to waive his mandate."
She added, "The proposal included, in exchange for giving up his assignment, that he would be granted a high position in the new government."
And the Presidency of the Republic of Iraq announced that President Barham Salih (Tuesday 17 March 2020), the former governor of Najaf Adnan Al-Zarfi was tasked with forming a new government, after the apology of Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi. Al-Zarfi is a former member of the Shiite Dawa Party, and he has thirty days to choose a squad that can win the confidence of Parliament. Ended 29 / A 43
