The stream of wisdom, led by Ammar al-Hakim, confirmed today, Monday, its refusal to give experts of Islamic jurisprudence the right to vote in the Federal Court, among the reasons for that.
The deputy of the movement, Jasim Mohan, told "Eye of Iraq News", "The Iraqi government has sent the Federal Court Law, which includes the existence of an advisory council of Islamic jurisprudence experts, but without giving them the right to vote in the court or to object to decisions, and their role is advisory only And giving them the right to vote is against the constitution. "
Mohan stated that "some political forces want to violate the constitution by giving experts of Islamic jurisprudence the right to vote in the Federal Court, and at the same time there are political forces that reject this matter and want to maintain this paragraph, as it came from the Iraqi government."
The Iraqi constitution stipulates in Article (92): that the Federal Supreme Court is an independent judicial body financially and administratively, and the Federal Supreme Court consists of a number of judges, experts in Islamic jurisprudence, and legal scholars, whose number shall be determined, and the method of their selection and the work of the court shall be regulated by a law enacted By a two-thirds majority of the members of the House of Representatives.
