    {Baghdad: Al-Furat News} The head of the Change Bloc in the House of Representatives, Yusef Muhammad, considered the approval of the 2021 budget as a step towards solving the economic problems in the country if compared with effective steps to combat corruption, indicating that it has 3 advantages.

    In a statement, Al-Furat News received a copy of it, Muhammad said that "some points of government reform programs were placed within the framework of the budget law, and their approval is a step towards reaching the benefits to those who are entitled, especially from the poor and those with limited income."
    He added, "This year's budget is distinguished by encouraging the advancement of infrastructure and investment in the agricultural and industrial sectors, in an attempt to reduce dependence on oil, in addition to reducing public expenditures," noting that "the proposals submitted by the Finance Committee led to a significant reduction in the financial deficit."
    With regard to the relationship between the federal government and the Kurdistan region and the agreement that led to the passage of the budget, Muhammad considered that a "step in the right direction", calling for "the implementation of commitments during the coming months to be a goodwill gesture towards resolving the differences between them, especially with regard to how to extract and export oil and gas in the country." The region and regarding the region’s budget, and finding radical solutions to the existing problems. "
    The head of the bloc stated that "the passage of the oil and gas law in the near future will have a positive effect towards resolving the existing differences between the federal government and the region, and the budget included an item on reviewing all contracts with oil companies in a manner that achieves the highest benefit and is consistent with the principles of the constitution throughout Iraq," This represents a good opportunity for the region to re-negotiate and balance some of the contracts concluded during the financial distress in the region, especially with regard to the oil pipeline that passes through the territory of the region to Turkey and the port of Bandar Ceyhan on the Mediterranean, and the secret and vague contracts and agreements with the Turkish side. 
    He stressed that "the lesson in recent agreements and understandings is in their application, in order to achieve the advancement of the Kurdish citizen who has suffered both over the past years and solve all his economic and financial problems."
