The Arab Parliament will hold, tomorrow, Sunday, the fourth and fifth sessions of the first session of the third legislative chapter, devoted to responding to the campaign targeting Arab countries under the pretext of protecting human rights and discussing a number of issues, including supporting Arab openness to Iraq.
The Media Department of the House of Representatives stated in a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of, that “In the presence of Representative Dhafer Al-Ani, representing the Iraqi Council of Representatives, the Arab Parliament headed by Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asoumi will hold on Saturday 10/4/2021 the fourth and fifth sessions of the first session. For the third legislative chapter dedicated to responding to the campaign targeting Arab countries under the pretext of protecting human rights and discussing a number of issues, including support for Arab openness to Iraq.
Deputy Dhafer Al-Ani, head of the Foreign Affairs and National Security Committee in the Arab Parliament, said, according to the House of Representatives statement, "The Arab Parliament will issue a statement on Iraq praising the openness of the Iraqi government on the Arab side and praising the visits of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi to a number of Gulf countries, in addition to his welcome and support for the tripartite contacts." "Between Iraq, Egypt and Jordan, in addition to condemning any attack on Iraq that threatens its unity and territorial integrity."
Al-Ani stressed that "Iraq, represented by members of the House of Representatives in the Arab Parliament, has a fingerprint in all parliament decisions and is strongly present in all parliamentary committees and his opinion is respected in all the statements issued by him, considering that the positions and statements issued reflect the aspirations and interests of the Iraqi people."
The head of the Foreign Affairs Committee noted that "the Arab Parliament will issue statements related to Yemen and support the formation of the government in Libya and support the issue of Arab countries providing to contribute to the development movement therein in addition to data related to Somalia, Lebanon, Yemen and others," noting that "the reality of my membership in the Palestine Committee, we have a decision condemning it."
