Today, Friday, the victory coalition led by Haider al-Abadi called on the Turkish government to reconsider its policies towards Iraq, after Ankara decided to establish a new military base in the north of the country.
The coalition said in a statement that Alsumaria News obtained a copy of, that it “rejects the Turkish Interior Minister’s intention to establish a new military base in Iraq, and promises it a continuation of policies that violate Iraqi sovereignty,” calling on the official and national authorities to “take the required measures to preserve the sovereignty of Iraq.”

Al-Nasr called on the Turkish government to "reconsider its policies towards Iraq, in order to preserve common interests, stability and good neighborliness."
