    {Local: Al Furat News} The advertising campaigns of the competing political alliances and candidates in the parliamentary elections scheduled for October 10 were officially launched in Baghdad and the provinces yesterday, Thursday, July 8.
    The current campaign is the longest in terms of duration in the history of the elections since 2005, as it lasts 3 months and ends on the electoral silence day on October 7, 24 hours before the special vote.
    The Parliamentary Legal Committee, Salim Shawshaka, stated, in a press statement, that "the elections law indicated in its paragraphs that counting and sorting be done electronically, while some political blocs demand that it be electronic and manual to ensure the integrity and integrity of the elections."
    And he indicated that "the upcoming elections will not be satisfactory for all political blocs, and so far, international observers are not fully prepared to come to Iraq and monitor the conduct of the elections, especially since security is unstable in addition to the problem of overlapping electoral districts in more than 70 regions, which is a big problem."
    Shoshakeh pointed out that "there are more than 6 million biometric cards that voters did not obtain to participate in the elections.
    "The campaigns will continue for a period of three months and end 24 hours before polling day, which is the largest period available for candidates to announce their electoral programs and introduce themselves to voters," said Director of Media for the Elections Commission in Dhi Qar, Raed Aziz.
