    Iraq participated in the Cairo International Fair in its “54” session, as a guest of honor with a number of the Ministry of Industry’s participation, within the framework of cooperation and agreements between
    the two countries.
    The exhibition was opened last Thursday, with the participation of 7 countries: the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Sudan, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Uganda, as well as the State of Iraq.
    Today, Saturday, during this participation, the Iraqi Embassy in Cairo and its commercial attaché will hold a celebration at the exhibition on the occasion of the “National Day” of Iraq.
    The exhibition included the largest trade names from various productive sectors, which include the sectors of food industries, ready-made clothes, furniture, electrical and household appliances, furniture, leather goods, mattresses and chemicals, as well as the products of a number of government agencies.
    The Director General of Mining Companies in the Ministry of Industry, Rafid Abdul Jalil, said: The companies participating in the exhibition represent the public sector and some private sector companies whose industry is in harmony with the companies.

    He added that the Iraqi participation as a guest of honor in the exhibition is part of a series of activities carried out by Egypt and Iraq and the agreements concluded between them.
     The Egyptian Minister of Industry and Trade, Nevin Jameh, had visited the Iraqi pavilion and inspected the exhibits in it with the participation of Ambassador Ahmed Nayef Al-Dulaimi. This exhibition and its appearance in a way that befits the name, importance and history of the exhibition as it is one of the oldest exhibitions held in Egypt, which is the largest gathering of Egyptian companies in their various sectors and products, where the exhibition achieved success and continuity for 53 years.
