    {Local: Al Furat News} The General Authority of Customs addressed, on Thursday, government departments to collect the deferred customs duties.
    Customs media said in a statement that {Euphrates News} received a copy of it, that "the Director General of the General Customs Authority, Shaker Mahmoud Al-Zubaidi, referred to the issue of the market's monopoly on goods whose import is prohibited," noting that "the customs departments are working on correspondence with state departments to collect the deferred customs duties." ". 
    He pointed out that "Customs is working to address the differences in customs duties lagging due to the inaccuracy of the information provided in the customs data related to the distinguishing elements of the goods (value, origin or type)." 
    Al-Zubaidi continued, during his meeting with the directors of the customs departments’ departments, “We have formed committees to eliminate the redundant files in the authority and simplify the customs procedures for goods,” noting that “there will be moves to rebuild the infrastructure of the authority’s headquarters and its customs areas and organize them in an appropriate manner in accordance with international standards followed in most countries of the world.” ". 
    Recently, Customs witnessed remarkable progress in its work by achieving unprecedented revenues, as well as the success of its economic plans, which contributed to supplying the state treasury.
