{Political: Al Furat News} The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, announced today, Thursday, the signing of the republican decree to invite the new Parliament to convene on Sunday, January 9.
Saleh published the document of the republican decree on Twitter, saying: I signed the republican decree to call the new parliament to convene on Sunday, January 9, 2022.
He added: "Hopes are set to meet the national merit by forming a capable and effective government that protects the interests of the country and enhances sovereignty, protecting and serving the Iraqis, and this requires solidarity in order to achieve the reform required for a stable and prosperous Iraq."
It should be noted that January 9 is the Iraqi Police Day, which is not an official holiday in the country.
