The source, who requested anonymity, that "the State of Law coalition decided to hold a meeting this afternoon to vote on a candidate to be presented to the House of Representatives at its meeting scheduled for tomorrow," noting that "Badr independent and refuse to vote in favor of al-Maliki."
The Member of Parliament for the State of Law Coalition MP Abdul Salam al-Maliki said earlier on Monday that his coalition is still holding the person of Nuri al-Maliki as the sole candidate for the post of prime minister within the constitutional requirements and the election, noting that the National Alliance failed to agree on a single candidate, which makes the state law and is the closest candidate Maliki to form the next government.
